Pause Privacy Policy

Pause (listed on Google Play as Pause: Grounding Support, package com.takeapause.app) is provided by OXYSCAPIST ONLINE. It is a free, no-ads, self-help Android app for moments when thoughts feel frightening. Pause is not a doctor, therapist, emergency service, diagnosis tool, or medical device.

Data Stored On Your Device

Pause stores worksheet entries, concern text, evidence notes, alternative explanations, chosen safe actions, history, onboarding state, settings, and trusted contacts locally on your device.

Pause does not collect or upload this data to our servers. No account is required.

Data You May Choose To Share

Pause includes export and share actions. If you choose to export or share your history, Android opens another app that you select. That selected app handles the exported text under its own privacy policy.

Pause includes dial and SMS shortcuts for trusted contacts and crisis resources. Phone calls and messages are handled by your phone, carrier, and selected messaging app.

Network And Cloud Services

Pause does not require login, cloud sync, analytics, advertising SDKs, remote configuration, crash reporting, or server storage in the current release.

Ads, Tracking, And Selling Data

Pause does not show ads. Pause does not sell personal data. Pause does not use advertising trackers.

Deleting Your Data

Your notes and contacts remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app’s local data. In Settings > Delete all data, you can permanently delete your Pause notes and contacts and reset your settings. This does not delete copies you have already shared with another app or person.

Because Pause does not create user accounts or store account data on a server, there is no account deletion flow.

Health And Safety

Pause is a self-help support tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis response, or emergency monitoring. If you may hurt yourself or someone else, feel unsafe, cannot sleep, feel out of control, or feel you must act immediately, contact local emergency services, a trusted person, a crisis helpline, or a qualified healthcare professional now.

Children's Privacy

Pause is not directed to children. Do not use Pause as a substitute for guardian, caregiver, medical, or emergency support.
